(Almost) Halfway There
Alexa, play "Halfway There" by Big Time Rush.
It's almost the halfway point of the semester, midterms will be coming out soon and things are getting chaotic (as if they weren't before). It's crazy to think that this semester is already almost half over, it honestly feels like it just started.
I'm in my junior year here at ONU and it's so weird to think about. I feel like I just graduated high school not that long ago, but I also feel like I've been out for forever. Being the super sentimental person I am, I know that I'll be a mess on the 'last first day' next semester.
It's super scary thinking about the next step after college. I swear, if I could get paid to go to school for the rest of my life I would. It's not about the stereotypical college life that I'd want to live forever (because I don't even live that now) it's the structure and definite expectations that school provides. Whew, that was not fun to think about.
Although I'm terrified, I am excited for the future and what my life holds.
-Signing off as a personified existential crisis.
I totally relate to the fear and nervousness surrounding post-graduate plans. I'm in my last semester, and it's tough trying to apply to jobs while also doing capstone, and doing regular class assignments on top of it all. I have faith that everything will work out, but I'll definitely feel a lot better once my plans are more concrete!
ReplyDeleteHalfway there is right! I could not be more excited and anxious. I am a senior here now and will be graduating in May. Trust me, you may be a junior now but before you know it you will be in my shoes getting ready to graduate. I wish you the best of luck in the second half of the semester!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe we are already at the half way point! I'm sending you the most positive vibes with the remainder of your schooling. It is such a nerve wracking situation when you realize your normal is coming to an end soon, but I'm sure your next step is going to be even more fun.
ReplyDeleteI did not even realize that we are hitting the halfway point of this semester, it is going by so quick. I guess it is true that times flies when your having fun. Don't stress too much about post-graduation, I am sure that you are going to get a great job, and have a very successful career! Just enjoy all the moments and memories that you get to create with the rest of your time here at ONU.
ReplyDeleteIt just hit me the other day that its just about midterms and the panic set in. Unfortunately, things just keep getting busier and busier and all I want to do is sleep! As someone who is graduating in a few short months my biggest piece of advice would be to slow down and breathe. It is so not worth being super stressed out about yet. You have so much time just make sure you enjoy yourself.
ReplyDeleteWow, this semester has really flown by. I agree that the structure and consistency of school is what makes it so scary to leave behind. As someone who doesn't handle change well, I'm talking I've had the exact same Subway order since I was a tween, I relate to the fear of the unknown as we approach graduation. However, it's so important to just live in the moment as well, I've found that to be a huge stress reliever when I find myself worrying to much about the future.
