Bestie Appreciation

This coming Tuesday is my best friend's 21st birthday. We've been friends since second grade, over 13 years... It's crazy to think that we have been in each other's lives for so long. We've literally grown up together. What a time to turn 21, am I right? I also forgot to mention that we're roommates too. Since freshman year. I remember when we told our government teacher that we were going to be roomies in college. He said we'd be lucky if our friendship made it through the first year, let alone semester. Jokes on you Mr. Jones, we're still friends and roommates now and we'll be living together off-campus next year with another friend.

I feel so honored as to have grown up together and watched each other navigate through this life for the past 13+ years. I can't wait to see what the next 13 has in store. :)

I'm so excited to celebrate (safely). An unforeseen perk of being roommates is that we can celebrate together without ever having to leave our apartment! I'm lucky to have had a best friend for so long and even though she doesn't read my blogs, she might see this in her email (since I forced her to subscribe to my blog haha), happiest of birthdays <3.

  1. Thank you for sharing! I love seeing friendships thrive like this. I also have a friend I have been close with for a long time and having that one friend I feel like is a must for everyone! I hope the 21st birthday goes great and I wish you two the best in the future.

  2. I love seeing a good bestie moment. There are so many of my best friends from childhood that I think if we would've ended up in the same place, we would still be besties. When you find your people, you just know. It doesn't matter that you were young while you met or even old.

  3. I love Cheyenne! She is a fellow accounting major with me and has always been so nice to me! I am glad that you have found your forever best friend, and that government teacher was wrong for telling you it wouldn't last. Tell Cheyenne I said happy birthday! Also I hope all the activities go well.
