Senior Year: Week One
I honestly can't believe that this is my last year at ONU. Although I'm super excited about this semester and year as a whole, I'm nowhere near ready for it to be over. Me being the sappy person I am, I know all these 'lasts' are going to bring up a lot of emotions.
This year I'm living off campus with two of my best friends, and I cannot wait to see what this year brings for us. So far, my one roommate has essentially been our live-in chef and oh boy, it's been nice. A few nights ago, she made us birria tacos, and they were 100% the best tacos I've ever had.
As for this past summer, my chef roommate and I took two impulsive trips, one to New Orleans earlier this summer, and the other to Chicago last weekend. With my other roommate, she was kind enough to invite me to Panama City Beach for family vacation. This was the third time we had gone on family vacation together, which makes sense because she's basically my sister. Other than traveling this summer, I worked at the place I've gone back to every summer. It's a factory, so it's not very fun, but the people I've become friends with over the last four years of working there was worth every minute. Leaving work to come back to school was very hard since it's very likely I won't be back to work there, which is great in one hand, but it was extremely hard to say goodbye to all my coworkers, but they definitely made my last day special.
This summer was one for the books and really cemented my love for travel. It was a great way to kick off my senior year!
