Thanksgiving Break Recap
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and a restful break! All this blog is going to be is a recap of how my break was.
I went home for a total of four days this break, Wednesday through Saturday. The rest of my time I spent here at my home in Ada, attempting to catch up on work and failing miserably.
For Thanksgiving, my mom had to work. Luckily for us, her line of work allows for us to bring Thanksgiving to her rather than having to miss it entirely. So, my stepdad and I made our food and brought it to her. I was in charge of the turkey, which can be a daunting task, but mine always turn out pretty good if I do say so myself. How? I always cook it in a pressure cooker, which always ensures that it'll never be dry. I'd rather be caught dead than have a dry, flavorless turkey. This year I didn't follow a recipe and just experimented, adding seasoning and spices until my heart said to stop, ha-ha.
Usually after Thanksgiving dinner, I force our family to decorate for Christmas, but since my mom wasn't home, I decided it was best to wait until we could all be together to do so.
Within the less than four whole days I was at home, I managed to take 19 pictures of my cat, Blackjack (pictured). I couldn't help myself, especially when I found the cat sweater we bought last winter.
With the semester winding down with only three more weeks to go, it can get extremely stressful. I know I've been feeling quite stressed for quite a bit now. But we're so close to being done. I believe in you all. :)
