A Crazy Start to Dead Week
As we all know, dead week is a crazy time in most college students' lives. That was no different in my household this week. For some background, me and my two friends have an off-campus house together, and with the days growing colder, our furnace was running all the time. Our house is quite large and takes a while to warm up and keep warm. With all of that, our last electric bill was near $300... We were all incredibly shocked since our previous bills had been less than half of that. We decided we had to act fast and plastic up our windows before we got too deep into our next bill cycle, especially since the majority of our windows are ancient and leak air like they're not even there. My roommate Jasmyn's family came over the end of Thanksgiving break to plastic the windows, and as soon as I stepped in the house after coming back from break, I could feel a huge difference (thank goodness).
